Dublin Day #1

We hit the ground running this morning while you all were still snug in bed! The trip from the airport to downtown Dublin was uneventful and we got our first look at what this beautiful country has to offer.

We started the day just walking around downtown and taking in the sights, it's very interesting to think about the history of the cobblestone streets and what stories they could tell if streets could talk. You can definitely feel the history of the city from the minute you're here, it's something special!

We toured Trinity College and learned a lot about it's interesting history, I will say that for all of you who have enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of college in the US, it is very different at Trinity.

The campus is absolutely beautiful and its history is just as impressive, there are many different types  of architecture related to the time period in which buildings were added and each were designed by famous architects.

We headed to our Air BNB, unloaded, and took a short rest (some of us took a short nap) and ventured out to dinner at an old church that was originally built in the 18th Century, dinner was accompanied by live music (there was a fiddle so I was happy) and some authentic Irish dancing!
