Friday night was rough, the people in Cork sure know how to party and it didn’t cease until around 0500! If sleep isn’t high on your priority list I’d definitely recommend staying in City Center! I still think they might have a hard time hanging with us on a football Saturday!
We had an early wake up call Saturday and we headed toward Killarney. First on the agenda was a guided bus tour of The Ring of Kerry, it lasted about 6 hours and had breathtaking views of the Irish countryside and the Atlantic Ocean!
As part of The Ring of Kerry Tour we stopped and watched a herding demonstration by a local sheep farmer.
If you take this tour and stop at this restaurant be prepared to be taken back to the lunch line you had in elementary school complete with overbearing lunch room ladies! You could definitely tell they had done this gig a time or two!
The Ring of Kerry tour took up the majority of our day and considering that we didn't sleep much the night before we were all exhausted. We stopped at Aldi for provisions, ordered Chinese takeaway (very different than what we are accustomed to in America but still very good) and called it a night!
